Description

Villa Luigi & Luisa are beautiful holiday homes in the village Bazjaki, just above the Mirna River in northern Istria. Surrounded by woods where the famous Istrian truffles are found, the views from the balconies and the garden extend over the entire valley and the fortified town of Motovun. The stunning nature of northern Istria – sea, forest, hills, medieval towns – everything you want will come true here. We have prepared interesting tours and excursions, trekking, horseback riding, hiking, and more. Car is necessary.

The property consists of two houses rented only together as a single unit and hosting up to 14 people for a unique and untypical vacation. One house has 2 and the other 4 en suite bedrooms. As a special feature, you will find a fully stocked cellar where you can try the best local beverages and other products. Outside, there is a 50m2 infinity pool, a carefully tended garden, outdoor dining area, and kitchen with barbecue. The property has been lovingly restored and decorated with a lot of character. A breath-taking view, which spreads from the hillside of the Mirna river valley over to the surrounding landscape, makes staying in Bazjaki an unforgettable experience.

Dogs are welcome with an extra charge of 10 EUR/dog/day, due upon arrival.

What an amazing place, has everything you need including lots of space indoors as well as outdoors. Every room has its own bath, kitchen well equipped, awesome outdoor kitchen and grill with wood and charcoal provided. Nice and quiet surroundings. There was no key box, but Tomislav told us via telephone where he hid the key for us so the check-in was no problem at all. Unfortunately, there were some stinks bugs in the house, sometimes you had to watch your step and shoo them away. But nothing too problematic.

We spent a week here with friends – four adults and six kids – and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. The houses are spacious, beautifully decorated, and very well equipped. The kids were in heaven – between the pool, garden, and all the space to run around, they were constantly busy and happy. We did a few day-trips to nearby villages and down to the coast, but the kids always asked when we’d be “back home” because they loved the villas so much. Evenings were our favorite – barbecues, card games, kids still splashing in the pool as the sun set. It felt relaxed, private, and joyful. We made memories we’ll talk about for years.

We were a group of friends traveling through Istria, visiting different towns, wineries, and coastal spots. These villas were the perfect home base – calm, beautifully designed, and so comfortable to come back to after full days out. Some evenings we cooked together and sat outside late into the night. It felt private and relaxed, like our own little hideaway in nature. Truly a special place.

Dear Valentina and All, From an accommodation point of view we were very delighted. Great houses, great pool area, great surrounding. However, what I very much disliked (and this is the reason why I would certainly never book this specific location again), was the fact that the offered cooking service was not granted. Although I mentioned from the very beginning that I would like to make use of this service for my guests and for myself several times. Fact was that it was not even granted once although I was immediately ready to pay a higher price per person in order to ensure that the owners would get what they expected from a monetary point of view (for personal reasons my group had to be split in two. During the first week we were 5 people, during the second half of our stay we were 7. Should not have been an issue as I obviously paid for both houses and the entire area). So please, in order to ensure that next guests will know what to expect let people know on the webpage that a) the cooking service can be used once per stay only (if at all) and b) minimum quantity of guests is 10 or 11. This is what I was told by the owner). In short: We enjoyed our stay but this was not thanks to the hosts. This was thanks to area, surrounding and restaurants in and outside Levade and by the sea. PS. The price of reservation and the total price mentioned on the left side of this page is incorrect (for information only).
